Ordering Verification of Someone Else’s ASCP BOC Credential(s)

Digital Badges

In early 2026, the ASCP BOC will launch digital badging through Credly, a trusted provider that increases the visibility of ASCP BOC credential holders by securely allowing professionals to showcase and share their credentials. See Digital Badges for details.

While digital badges are an exciting new option for providing primary source verification of ASCP BOC credentials, the current online order process for primary source verification (PSV) of ASCP BOC credentials remains available.

How to Place an Order

Fee: $25 per individual request 

Employers, recruiters, background search firms, and other third parties may purchase verification of ASCP BOC credentials for multiple people at one time. You will add each person separately to your order by choosing “Add to Cart.” Verification for each person costs $25.

Verification results include details about all credentials earned by an individual. It is unnecessary to purchase separate verifications for multiple credentials.

  1. Log in to your ASCP account or create an account
    • Do not create a duplicate account
    • If you are not sure if you already have an active account, please contact ASCP Customer Relations
  2. Choose “Start Verification Request”
  3. Read instructions for the Verification of Credential Process
  4. Choose “Someone Else’s Credentials”
  5. Enter information for the person whose credentials are being verified; those with an * are required: 
    • First Name*
    • Last Name*
    • Alias / Maiden Name (if applicable)
    • Date of birth*
    • Credential Category
    • Last four digits of social security number OR 8-digit ASCP Customer ID*
  6. Under “Additional Information,” confirm the third-party email address to which a link to access verification results will be sent
  7. Click “Add to Cart”
  8. When all people have been added, click “Proceed to Checkout”
  9. Review and click “Proceed to Payment”
  10. Your credit card will be charged $25 for each verification request
  11. Verification results are provided to you immediately after placing your order
    • Click "View Results" to see on-screen verification details
      • Verification results include details about all ASCP BOC credentials earned by an individual (valid, expired, and no match)
      • For each credential, the category, number (for certification only), and valid date(s) will be provided
    • These on-screen verification results are not emailed to you (see step 7)
    • You may print or view verification results at this time or later by logging in to your ASCP account
    • “No match” orders are referred automatically to the ASCP BOC for further research and response; please do not place duplicate requests
