In early 2026, the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) launched digital badging through Credly, a trusted provider that increases the visibility of ASCP BOC credential holders by securely allowing professionals to showcase and share their credentials. This exciting advancement marks a major milestone in how the ASCP BOC supports credentialed professionals to evidence their expertise and communicate the value of ASCP BOC credentials to the global laboratory community and beyond.

ASCP BOC digital badges issued through Credly show that a professional has earned an ASCP BOC credential, recognized by top employers in the medical laboratory field. By displaying these badges, you demonstrate your commitment to excellence and career advancement.

Using Digital Badges

Who receives a digital badge?

Beginning January 2026, all newly credentialed professionals, as well as those who successfully complete the ASCP BOC CMP, will receive a digital badge through Credly.

Beginning in January 2026, a Credly digital badge may be purchased for $25 if you:

were credentialed prior to the required CMP and have chosen not to participate in CMP
are in a current CMP cycle and do not want to wait for your CMP renewal to receive a digital badge
