Examination Oversight Committee (EOC)

The American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) Examination Oversight Committee (EOC) provides an assessment of the quality of all current and potential ASCP BOC credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews applicant statistics for all ASCP BOC examinations annually
  • Reviews new credential proposal submissions and makes recommendations about the new credentials to the Board of Governors (BOG)

Time Commitment 

  • Meets annually  
  • Holds additional meetings as needed when new credential proposals are received

Term(s) 

  • Volunteers are appointed annually by the BOG Chair          

Requirement(s) 

  • The EOC is comprised of volunteers from the BOG
  • The Chair-Elect or Past-Chair serves as EOC chair
