Credential Maintenance Committee (CMC)

The American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) Credential Maintenance Committee (CMC) provides oversight to all ASCP BOC Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) activities. CMP activities provide opportunities for laboratory professionals to obtain a variety of learning experiences that demonstrate their competency and dedication to excellence in their profession. 

Responsibilities 

  • Review the ASCP BOC CMP booklet and any literature as necessary

  • Develop surveys to gather information and pinpoint problems with ASCP BOC CMP requirements and/or the ASCP BOC CMP application process

  • Make recommendations regarding changes to the ASCP BOC Board of Governors (BOG)

Time Commitment 

  • Meets annually by conference call

Terms 

  • Volunteers are appointed annually by the BOG Chair

Requirements 

  • The CMC is composed of members of the BOG

Volunteer opportunities are limited to current members of the ASCP BOC Board of Governors and other standing comittees.
