Policy and Procedure Committee (P&P)

The American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) Policy and Procedure Committee (P&P) reviews current ASCP BOC policies and creates new ones, as necessary, to reflect changes made by the Board of Governors (BOG)

Responsibilities 

  • Review the current ASCP BOC Policy Manual

  • Recommend revisions to the Policy Manual for approval by the BOG

  • Draft new policies for approval by the BOG   

Time Commitment 

  • Meets at least once a year by conference call 

  • Meets in person every three years 

Terms

  • Volunteers are appointed annually by the BOG Chair

Requirements

  • The P&P Committee is composed of members of the BOG
  • The BOG Secretary serves as the P&P Committee Chair

Volunteer opportunities are limited to current members of the ASCP BOC Board of Governors and other standing comittees.
