Earn Points

Continuing education (CE) providers offer a wide variety of continuing education activities such as workshops, webinars, podcasts, subscription programs, and online courses. There are numerous opportunities to accumulate CE credits both through CE providers and other activities.

Retain all original certificates of attendance or other verification of CE activity completion. You will only need to submit documentation to the ASCP BOC in the event of an audit

Enter & Allocate CMP Points

You must properly enter and allocate all continuing education credits (CEs) to the areas necessary to meet the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) point requirements for your credential before submitting your CMP declaration.

Submit Your CMP Declaration

Submit your online CMP declaration and fee(s):

  • as early as 90 days (3 months) prior to the expiration of your credential.
  • at least 30 days (1 month) prior to the expiration of your credential.

Synchronize Multiple Credentials

The ASCP BOC is temporarily not accepting requests for synchronizing multiple credentials. Thank you for this opportunity to drive continuous quality improvement on your behalf. Details about the enhanced synchronizing process will be provided as they become available, with a planned release for summer 2026.

CMP Audit Process

To ensure the integrity of the CMP, the ASCP Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) audits a percentage of CMP declarations. You will be notified if your CMP declaration is selected for audit. If selected for audit, you will be required to submit documentation verifying completion of all continuing education activities (CEs) submitted on your CMP declaration.
