Editorial Committee

The American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) Editorial Committee provides oversight of official ASCP BOC publications, documents, and public information releases.

Responsibilities 

  • Review articles for the ASCP BOC Newsletter to ensure that messaging is in line with the mission and vision of the ASCP BOC

  • Review and edit the ASCP BOC Year in Review report, special publications, official documents, and public information releases

Time Commitment 

  • The majority of committee work is done by email

  • Volunteers may be asked to serve on task forces to advise on other publications as necessary

Terms 

  • Volunteers are appointed annually by the ASCP BOC Board of Governors (BOG) Chair

Requirements

  • The Editorial Committee is composed of volunteers from the ASCP BOC BOG and may include other volunteers with expertise in communication and writing when projects require such

  • The ASCP BOC BOG Secretary serves as Editorial Committee Chair

Volunteer opportunities are limited to current members of the ASCP BOC Board of Governors and other standing comittees.
