USPSTF Recommends Screening for Hepatitis C

On Aug. 27, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommended screening for hepatitis C virus in adults ages 18-79. The Task Force also suggests that clinicians consider screening patients who are younger than age 18 and older than age 79 if they are at high risk for infection. USPSTF is currently seeking comments on their recommendation until Sept. 23.
