Pulmonology Advisor (3/26, Stong) reports, “Immunocompromised patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia (sCAP) have an increased risk of in-hospital and long-term mortality, according to study findings.” Researchers saw “a higher mortality rate during the hospital stay” among “patients who were immunocompromised vs those who were not...as well as at 6 months...and at 12 months...post hospitalization.” The research was published in Respiratory Medicine.
