Pulmonology Advisor (3/10, Stong) reports researchers have found that “silent rhinovirus infection is prevalent in nasal tissues and is associated with distinct immune responses in those with and without chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP).” Investigators came to this conclusion after analyzing data on “101 patients with CRSwNP and 47 individuals in the control group.” The research was published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
