H5N1 Virus Can Be Spread Via Wind, Research Suggests

CNN (2/18, Goodman) reports researchers found that “the highly pathogenic H5N1 virus” can be spread via wind. One researcher said, “I think that under certain specific conditions, the spread of the avian influenza virus by wind can occur.” The findings were published in bioRxiv “as a preprint, ahead of peer review.”
