Study Finds Long COVID Is More Likely To Occur Among Children, Adolescents Who Experience Anosmia During Initial COVID-19 Disease, Those With History Of Pneumonia

Infectious Disease Advisor (2/12, Chan) reports a study found that “although long COVID in children and adolescents is uncommon, it is more likely to occur among those who experienced anosmia during initial COVID-19 disease as well as those with a history of pneumonia.” The researchers said, “Children with anosmia and a history of pneumonia during COVID-19 require follow-up for long COVID.” The findings were published in The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal.
