Rheumatology Advisor (2/12, Khaja) reports, “Anti-C1q antibodies are highly prevalent among patients with immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD), particularly those with renal involvement and cutaneous small-vessel vasculitis (CSVV), according to study findings.” The researchers said the “findings support the hypothesis that immune complex deposition and subsequent complement activation contribute to tissue injury in IgG4-RD.” The findings were published in Rheumatology.
