Anaphylaxis Following Non-COVID-19 Vaccination Is Rare, Varies By Vaccine Type, Study Suggests

February 11, 2025

HCPlive (2/10, Derman) reports, “A new study showed anaphylaxis following a non-COVID-19 vaccination is rare but varies by vaccine type.” The researchers said, “The results of this meta-analysis provide critical insights into the low overall incidence of anaphylactic events associated with vaccines. ... The significantly higher event rate observed for influenza vaccines compared to other vaccine types, particularly under the random-effects model, suggests potential variability in study populations, reporting standards, or underlying risk factors.” The findings were published in Vaccines.
