Infectious Disease Advisor (1/22, Nye) reports, “Among adults, the mRNA-1273.815 vaccine provides significant protection against COVID-19-related hospitalizations and any medically attended COVID-19, according to study findings.” The researchers said, “These findings are consistent with effectiveness estimates of 2023-2024 updated COVID-19 vaccines overall, demonstrating the incremental value over earlier vaccinations and the continued role of updated COVID-19 vaccinations in protection against COVID-19-related outcomes.” The findings were published in Open Forum Infectious Diseases.
