Healio (10/29, Schoen) reports, “Neutralizing antibodies against mpox generated by the Jynneos vaccine were short lived – lasting less than a year – if patients had never received a smallpox vaccine as children, researchers said.” The findings “raise questions about the need for mpox booster doses for certain patients, which the CDC does not currently recommend.” The findings were presented at IDWeek.
