Gestational Urine Tg Levels Are Inversely Related With Offspring IQ In Early Childhood, Study Finds

Endocrinology Advisor (10/22, Nye) reports, “Gestational urine thyroglobulin (Tg) levels are inversely related with offspring intellectual quotient (IQ) in early childhood, according to results of a study.” Researchers found that “levels of Tg in early pregnancy were not associated with child total gray matter volume or cerebral white matter volume at 10 years of age.” The findings were published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.
