Meet 2018 MIPS Requirements With a Free CMS Reporting Option From NPQR

February 21, 2019

ASCP’s National Pathology Quality Registry is offering a free reporting option to all pathologists through a CMS-approved Qualified Clinical Data Registry. Using this solution, you can easily and satisfactorily meet MIPS requirements and avoid a 5% loss on your Medicare Part B billing for the 2018 program year, which impacts payment in 2020. The submission deadline for this free reporting option is March 15, 2019.

By taking advantage of this opportunity, you can avoid the penalty and prepare yourself and your site for participating in NPQR. As a national quality and benchmarking program that measures adherence to clinical practice guideline recommendations, quality and performance standards, and appropriate utilization of laboratory testing, NPQR will not only enable pathologists and labs to satisfy CMS requirements but also drive quality improvement.

Get Started

Step 1: Visit www.ascp.org/NPQR/2018, fill out the interest form, and select improvement activities on which to report.

Step 2:  Visit www.npqr.arbormetrix.net and fill out the consent form.

Complete both of these steps by March 15, 2019.

NPQR will submit data to CMS on your behalf and keep you informed of progress.
