Since receiving the ASCP 40 Under Forty, I completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency at New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical Center and fellowship in blood banking and transfusion medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I am currently Assistant Medical Director of the Blood Bank at Tisch Hospital, Associate Program Director of the Clinical Pathology Residency Program and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. I am also Interim Director of the 34th Street and 38th Street Clinical Laboratories affiliated with NYU Langone Health Perlmutter Cancer Center. I am particularly passionate about education and have actively pursued efforts to engage with medical and resident trainees as a junior attending physician.
Of note, I was awarded Attending of the Year in Clinical Pathology in June 2024 by our pathology residents at NYU. It has truly been an honor to work with trainees and students of all levels, and I have been lucky to learn just as much from them. I hope to continue to be an advocate and champion of pathology education throughout my career.
