The 2022 ASCP 40 Under Forty recognition helped me to strengthen my confidence, develop professional branding and importantly became a source of inspiration. Since then, I have gained additional two credentials – Specialist of Chemistry (SC) and Diplomate of Laboratory Management (DLM). Currently, I oversight operation of clinical laboratory, toxicology and molecular diagnostics as a technical Director.

I believe the ASCP 40 Under Forty recognition has several direct and indirect influences on my professional career development. This recognition enabled me to showcase my career in the professional community, workplace and among peers.

What are you most professionally proud of in the years since your 40 Under Forty recognition?

With the clinical laboratory being central in medicine and laboratory professional, everything we do has a crucial impact in patient care. Fortunately, I have been a part of several opportunities involving customization and development of assays in the last couple of years. It is a proud moment witnessing how newly developed and validated assays are transformed to practice and are helpful for patient care.
