Being honored as an ASCP 40 under Forty in 2020 is something about which I remain extremely proud. Since receiving that honor, I have become a Section Editor of the Forensic Pathology Section of ASCP Case Reports, which is a fun and rewarding experience. I remain Division Chief of Neuropathology at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed) in Kalamazoo, MI. I was named Vice Chair of Pathology and was promoted to Associate Professor of Pathology in 2024. I love where my career has taken me and am passionate about teaching neuropathology, particularly in the setting of forensics. I remain engaged in undergraduate and graduate medical education at WMed and look forward to recruiting the next generation of excellent pathologists.
