Xin Yi, PhD, DABCC, FADLM, is a board-certified clinical chemist, currently serving as co-director of Clinical Chemistry at Houston Methodist Hospital and associate professor at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is a fellow of the ADLM Academy and co-director of the Clinical Chemistry Fellowship Program at Houston Methodist.
Dr. Yi completed her fellowship training at the University of Chicago and has remained actively involved in several professional organizations, serving on leadership committees. She also serves on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Clinical Pathology, Encyclopedia of Analytical Chemistry, and Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and has been a guest editor for additional professional journals. She has also contributed actively to ASCP’s Lablogatory for several years.
Dr. Yi is passionate about breaking down barriers across laboratory medicine, linking cutting-edge technology, robust diagnostic testing, and real-world clinical application. She is driven by the belief that innovation only matters when it reaches patients, and her work focuses on transforming new ideas into practical tools that elevate care and close the gap between the bench and the bedside.
