Ramya Narasimhan

MD, MPH

Ramya Narasimhan, MD, MPH, is a surgical pathology fellow with a focus in renal, bone and soft tissue, head and neck, and endocrine pathology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. She completed her pathology residency at the Boston Medical Center and held academic rank as a Clinical Instructor at the Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in India. She then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Mayo Clinic while attending the Centre for Clinical and Translational Sciences. She then spent a year at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and has a strong background in biostatistics, and epidemiology.  

Dr. Narasimhan’s current research interests involve the Kidney Precision Medicine Project, a national multi-institutional collaboration that studies "not for research" kidney biopsies in chronic kidney disease. She currently serves as an ASCP Pathology Ambassador, Medical School Mentor, and is a College of American Pathologists' Resident Forum Executive Committee Member (Digital Strategy Liaison). Amongst her other interests, she is passionate about physician wellness and mental health.
