Jenelle Vargas Musick, DCLS, MPH, MLS(ASCP)^CM, is the COO, CFO, and owner of Life Well Pharmacies. She completed her bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science from UNC Chapel Hill, a master’s in public health from Liberty University, and Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science from KUMC. She has been actively involved in federal and state legislation in Tennessee, meeting with lawmakers and writing bills to improve laboratory medicine, increase fair reimbursement, and advocate for laboratory professionals. She initiated the Point-of-Care laboratory at the pharmacy during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequently expanded to offer testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Dr. Vargas Musick is expanding laboratory services to include chemistry, hematology, molecular microbiology, and toxicology to provide necessary laboratory services to rural and low-income patients, as well as those at high risk for STIs.  

As a laboratory professional, mother, and employer, Dr. Vargas Musick strives to treat all employees and patients with the utmost care and respect. As an individual and a business, she values integrity, honesty, and hard work. She is also a member of the Coalition for Innovative Laboratory Testing, the group that sued the FDA to vacate the oversight of Laboratory Developed Tests and is a Past President of the Tennessee Chapter of ASCLS.
