Max Louzon

Max J Louzon, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM SBBCM, is an associate professor and director of the Medical Laboratory Science Program at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He earned his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and his master’s degree from the University of Washington, completing his thesis work on pre-hospital transfusion. Mr. Louzon is the chair of the ASCP Board of Certification Blood Banking Examination Committee as well as board member for the Pacific Northwest’s local chapter of the Associate for Diagnostics and Laboratory Medicine.  

He is passionate about ensuring undergraduate education in laboratory medicine is available for all students and works constantly to prepare students to enter the field. Since starting with the MLS program, Mr. Louzon has increased enrollment by 20 percent and spearheaded the creation of a new scholarship fund.  

When not in the office, Mr. Louzon enjoys building computers and spending time with his career-changed ex-service dog, Mona. He is always interested in talking about ways to improve education for students.
