Adekunle Alabi, PhD, D(ABCC), NRCC, C(ASCP)^CM, is a medical director and assistant professor at UC Health and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. He is board-certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and holds certification from the National Registry of Certified Chemists. Dr. Alabi completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Alberta, Canada, and his Clinical Chemistry Fellowship at UC San Diego. 

As Medical Director of Clinical Toxicology and Mass Spectrometry, Dr. Alabi oversees laboratory operations while serving as CLIA Laboratory Director for multiple facilities including UC Health's Point-of-Care Testing and Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit. His role combines clinical consultation with healthcare providers, research and development of novel testing methods, and quality assurance implementation. 

Dr. Alabi's North Star is advancing precision medicine through innovative laboratory diagnostics and fostering the next generation of laboratory professionals. His work bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and clinical application, with a particular focus on toxicology and mass spectrometry applications that directly impact patient care. 

Among his notable accomplishments, Dr. Alabi has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals including Nature Communications, developed and validated novel LC-MS/MS assays for clinical use, and received prestigious awards. 

Dr. Alabi is dedicated to education and mentorship, actively training pathology residents and clinical laboratory scientists while fostering professional development across interdisciplinary teams.
