ASCP Job Satisfaction, Wellness Surveys Released

March 03, 2020

ASCP is pleased to report that it has just published its groundbreaking surveys on job satisfaction, well-being, stress and burnout in the laboratory. Pathologists, pathology residents, and laboratory professionals, the targets of the surveys, play a vital role in successful patient outcomes, effective test utilization and public health. This study, the first major peer-reviewed study of the pathology & laboratory workforce in more than a decade, will help inform the field about the challenges that contribute to job satisfaction and burnout as well as factors that promote well-being. Findings from the survey can also provide insight on how health care institutions can address these challenges and will inform ASCP’s initiatives to promote well-being in the field. Those interested can read a copy of the survey at one of the links below.
