Stand up for YOUR Profession: Support Medicare Reform

ASCP is encouraging everyone, whether they are an ASCP member or not, to stand up for the laboratory profession by urging their members of Congress to fix the Medicare Physician and Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedules. 

These two fee schedules are critical players in determining whether laboratories get adequately reimbursed for the services they provide their patients. Besides setting Medicare payment rates for these laboratory services, private payers benchmark their rates to these fee schedules.

As these fee schedules aren’t keeping pace with the cost of medical inflation, the financial challenges are making it increasingly difficult for laboratories to ensure they can continue to meet the needs of their patients.
