August 06, 2021

ASCP is greatly expanding its educational offerings in conjunction with the ASCP 2021 Annual Meeting, which takes place Oct. 27-29 in Boston.

Known as “The Path to Boston,” this additional programming will be available to anyone who is registered for the ASCP 2021 Annual Meeting and will be presented virtually starting September 11. It will continue throughout the weeks leading up to the live meeting. Overall, Annual Meeting registrants will have access to more than 100 continuing education credits.

Pathology residents will be able to access two full days of educational review sessions, Sept. 11 and 12, designed to assist them in preparing for their board exams. Additional review sessions will be presented during at the Annual Meeting.

Meanwhile, the education track for laboratory professionals has been significantly expanded, with nearly half of their Annual Meeting sessions now available virtually during the Path to Boston. This will include education developed in collaboration with ASCP’s 14 companion societies, as well as a three-part series focusing on how healthcare professionals can sustain their own health and wellness during the pandemic.

New this year is a “Meet the Experts” series, similar to a roundtable, where an expert in a given subject area will gather with about 20 Annual Meeting participants for an informal question and answer session.

Annual Meeting participants can also check out the Fellowship Fair where organizations offering fellowships can meet and interact with interested residents and others.” Also, don’t miss the poster presentations, a hybrid of in-person and virtual sessions where the latest and brightest thinkers in the profession share their research.

As part of the Path to Boston, ASCP will virtually present its Choosing Wisely Champions on Oct. 20 from 2-3 p.m. Eastern time, followed by a question-and-answer session with viewers.

The ASCP 2021 Annual Meeting will be unlike any other annual meeting. So much education and so many different ways to access it in a way that is convenient for you. Find out more at www.ascp.org/2021.
