National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 22, 2018

Pathologists and laboratory professionals play a crucial role in fighting breast cancer worldwide. Without diagnostics, clinicians are unable to effectively screen for cancer, diagnose disease and develop care plans that save lives. Cancers diagnosed in Africa are associated with a higher mortality than other regions of the world due to limited availability of screening, laboratories and pathologists. Through our Partners for Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment in Africa initiative, ASCP brings the expertise of the diagnostic medicine team to the global fight against cancer.
