ASCP Announces 2018 Job Satisfaction, Well-being and Burnout in the Laboratory Survey

The American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is conducting a survey on job satisfaction, well-being, and burnout in the laboratory.  As pathologists, laboratory professionals, and pathology residents, you play a vital role in improving patient outcomes, effective test utilization, and public health.  ASCP wants to examine your needs and help advance laboratory medicine and patient care. This study will help inform the field about the challenges that medical laboratory personnel encounter that contribute to burnout.  Findings from the survey can also provide insight on how health care institutions can address these challenges and will inform ASCP’s initiatives to promote well-being and prevent burnout in the field.

The online survey will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Participation in the study is voluntary and will not affect any current or future interactions with ASCP.  Your responses will be anonymous, and the survey will not collect any personally identifiable information.  You can exit the survey at any time by closing the Internet browser.  If you want to participate but do not have time to complete the survey in one sitting, you can save your responses so that you can come back at a later time.
