HHS Proposal Aims To Facilitate Kidney, Liver Transplants From Donors With HIV To Recipients With HIV

Bloomberg Law (9/11, Pugh, Subscription Publication) reports the Biden Administration on Wednesday issued a proposed rule “that would facilitate the transplantation of kidneys and livers from donors with HIV to recipients with HIV.” The HHS proposal “would amend the regulations implementing the National Organ Transplant Act of 1984 to remove clinical research and institutional review board requirements for these transplants.”
