ASCP is looking forward to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science’s (ASCLS) upcoming
Legislative Symposium, scheduled for September 26-27 at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town in Alexandria, VA. The annual event helps advance public policy issues of concern to laboratory professionals, such as education standards and workforce development. The Legislative Symposium provides a great education on the nuts-and-bolts of lobbying. Attendees will be briefed on key public policy issues and are coached on presentation techniques so they can effectively communicate with representatives in Washington, D.C. ASCP strongly encourages all laboratory professionals to attend this year’s event to encourage Congress to focus on issues of concern to laboratory professionals.
