In April, ASCP will launch its biennial Wage Survey to obtain updated wage data for the nation’s clinical laboratory workforce. This survey has served as the primary source of information for academic, governmental, and industry labor analysts since 1988. Results from past surveys show that laboratory medicine is a rapidly evolving field.
ASCP continues to gather questions, comments, and suggestions from our members regarding the profession with the goal of addressing them through this important survey. The questionnaire included questions regarding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on laboratory wages, staffing and retention of staff. The survey launched in mid April and will conclude on May 14.
