ASCP Action Alert: Urge Congress to Approve American Rescue Plan Now

President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan provides $400 billion in funding to address the COVID-19 pandemic, plus additional funds to support the struggling American economy. The plan outlines the Administration’s new strategy to enhance testing, vaccines, research and other remedies to address the pandemic.  

Under the President’s American Rescue Plan, the federal government would provide $50 billion to support a “massive expansion of testing.” The plan would provide funding to purchase testing equipment and supplies, expand laboratory capacity and support for schools and local governments to implement regular testing protocols.

President Biden’s Rescue Plan urgently needs Congress’ approval in order to implement the Administration’s National Strategy for COVID-19 Response.
