Emerging Biomarkers in the Assessment of Alzheimer’s Disease

These activities are designed to introduce pathologists, laboratory managers/directors, and laboratory professionals to emerging research in biomarker testing (cerebral spinal fluid [CSF] and blood-based biomarkers) and imaging for the detection of Alzheimer’s disease. You will learn about the biological significance and the clinical implications of these biomarkers, as well as how to utilize the AT(N) framework for Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis and biomarker classification. Additionally, you will also learn about the limitations of current biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease and directions for future research.
