Ways to Donate

When you give to the ASCP Foundation, you help us make a difference. We offer a variety of giving options, for both immediate and planned giving. One hundred percent of your donations to the ASCP Foundation go to member programs and services. All personnel and administrative costs are made possible with the generous support of ASCP.

Online Donations

Individual gifts can be made with ease by following the secure Donate Here link and giving with a single credit card donation. Your generosity enables the ASCP Foundation to provide critical support for global health and scholarship initiatives. All donations to the ASCP Foundation are tax-deductible.

Matching Gift Programs

Maximize your donation to the ASCP Foundation through Matching Gift Programs. Employee Matching Gifts are donations that an employer makes, matching their employees charitable contributions. Employer contributions are usually a dollar-for-dollar match, but they can be double, triple or even quadruple. Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program and make your contribution go even further!

Planned Giving

Charitable IRA Contributions

If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit the ASCP Foundation and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly without having to pay income taxes on the money.

This law no longer has an expiration date, so you are free to make annual gifts to our organization this year and well into the future. This transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit if you do not itemize your deductions. If you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the year, your IRA charitable rollover gift can satisfy all or part of this requirement.

Living Wills and Estates

You want to leave money to the ASCP Foundation in your will. You also want the flexibility to change your will in the event that life circumstances change. You can do both. In as little as one sentence, you can complete your gift. This type of donation to the ASCP Foundation in your will or living trust helps ensure that we continue our mission for years to come.

Memorial Gifts

If you have a loved one who has been impacted by pathology and laboratory medicine, the ASCP Foundation enables you to establish a memorial or tribute gift. This is a meaningful way to honor your loved ones or celebrate a special occasion such as a landmark birthday or practice anniversary while supporting the work of our mission.

Endowment Gifts

An endowment gift to the ASCP Foundation today provides a brighter picture for our future. When you make a donation to our endowment, you give a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits.

Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at the ASCP Foundation. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.

Contact Lucy Beck at 312-541-4951, or email at: Lucy.Beck@ascp.org to inquire about considering any of these planned giving options.
