What could the title "Best Poster ASCP 2017" do for you?

Just three months after receiving the Best Oral Poster Runner-up award at ASCP 2015 Long Beach, Phill Jensen, MBA, RPFT, DLM(ASCP)CM, received his hospital's permission to implement the findings of his quality improvement project into practice.

Mr. Jensen's project involved reducing the blood specimen volume needed by his laboratory by replacing three milliliter syringes with one milliliter syringes.

"I was able to use the competition as weight in favor to get us to change out the syringes systemwide. This will save about 7,000 milliliters of blood for our patients just for our testing," says Mr. Jensen, Director of the University of Utah Hospital Pulmonary Lab in Salt Lake City, Utah.

You too have the opportunity to experience the same recognition that allowed this lab director to make a significant improvement in his workplace. Submit your abstract and keep the innovation flowing!

We look forward to seeing you and your poster at the ASCP 2017 Annual Meeting!
