Kansas Measles Cases Rise To 23

CNN (3/26, Mukherjee, McPhillips) reports the Kansas Department of Health confirmed 23 measles cases have been reported in the state. A department spokesperson says the cases “could be linked to an ongoing outbreak that has infected at least 379 people across Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.” Children account for 21 of the Kansas measles cases, “and 20 of the cases are in people who are unvaccinated.” They are “concentrated in the southwestern part of the state and have spread to six counties.”
