Intended Audience: Pathologists, Pathology residents, and Laboratory Professionals
This is a case presented in an electronic format to an audience consisting of pathologists, mainly hematopathologists with the goal to familiarize them with one of the entities which will be included in the new 2016 WHO classification of lymphoid neoplasms. The presentation will include data on the clinical history of the patient, images from the submitted specimen, the diagnosis and a short discussion of the diagnostic criteria and of the differential diagnosis.
Upon completion of this course you should be able to:
· Describe the morphologic features of primary cutaneous acral CD8+ T-cell lymphoma
· Enumerate immunophenotypic markers positive in this entity
· Generate a differential diagnosis for a primary cutaneous cytotoxic T-cell lesion
