An ASCP eCourse is a self-paced, on-line educational activity. ASCP eCourses use rich media (i.e. images, movies, animation, sound, text, etc) to deliver educational content. |

How long does it take to complete an ASCP eCourse? |
 |
Most courses can be completed in 1 to 2 hours depending on your learning style and your level of experience with course content. However, all ASCP eCourses are are organized into short learning segments (i.e., topics) that can be completed in 5-10 minutes. Topics can be reviewed in any sequence and an automatic bookmarking feature keeps track of your progress. The learning system will let you know what you have completed on your next visit to the course. |

Do I need special computer software/hardware? |

No special computer equipment is needed. You will need speakers and a sound card. Macromedia Flash Player and Acrobat Reader are required plug ins and can be obtained for no charge from the Macromedia and Adobe websites. |

What kind of internet connection can I use? |

A high speed internet connection is required. |

Can I take online notes while reviewing an eCourse? |
 |
Yes, a learner notes feature is available in all ASCP eCourses. |

Can I interact with other students? |
 |
You may interact with other learners using an e-bulletin board. ASCP eCourse bulletin boards are not monitored by the faculty or other subject matter experts, but learners are encouraged to post questions and share experiences related to the course topic for discussion among other participants in the course. |

How much does an eCourse cost? |

How long will I have access to a course? |
 |
Registered learners have access to an ASCP eCourse for 30 days after initial access. |

Although subject matter experts are not available to respond to specific questions, a list of frequently asked questions and answers is available for most courses. |

Can I get continuing education credit? |
 |
Yes, every ASCP eCourse offers CME and/or CMLE credit. A learner must satisfy successful completion criteria to receive credit. |

What do you mean by "successful completion criteria"? |
 |
Successful completion criteria include:
- review of all sections and topics in a course,
- completion of all section review questions
- completion of Course Review Section with a passing grade of 65%
- completion of a Course Evaluation form
