Fellow Transfusion Medicine In-Service Examination

The Fellow Transfusion Medicine In-Service Examination consists of at least 120 multiple-choice questions from acknowledged experts in the field and is designed to test Transfusion Medicine Fellows on their medical knowledge; the examination is a cooperative effort between the ASCP RISE Committee and the AABB.

The examination is offered in a browser-based, online format. In order to take the test online, the fellows will need access to a computer with Windows XP or higher and Internet Explorer v7.0 or later; Macintosh users will need Mac OS X 10.4 or later and Safari 3.0 or later in order to take the examination online. Individual score information will be provided to Program Directors and to Fellows.

The fee for this year is:
US$125.00 per participant taking the examination

The following points characterize the exam:

  • Flexibility in Administration: The examination may be administered anytime between April 27 and May 8. Completion time for the entire examination is 2.25 hours.
  • Performance Reports: Computer-generated individual score reports and percentile rankings will be provided to the Fellows and Program Directors. Examination results will be returned approximately June 12 via electronic mail.

The registration deadline for this year is March 27, 2015.
