Exciting new developments have occurred in the use of new markers, such as hsCRP, homocysteine, oxidized LDL and dense LDL, for the assessment of cardiac risk. This program will review the evidence for these markers, synthesize the findings, and recommend their use with the traditional lipoprotein markers and the ATP III.
