Fellow In-Service Hematopathology Examination (FISHE)

The Fellow In-Service Hematopathology Examination consists of at least 60 multiple-choice items, many with images, constructed by pathologists who are acknowledged experts in the field.

The examination is offered in a browser-based, online format. In order to take the test online, the fellows will need access to a computer with Internet Explorer v5.01 or later, AOL 6.0 or later, or Firefox 2.0 or later. Supported browsers for Mac include Safari 1.3 or later and Firefox 2.0 or later. Individual score information will be provided to Program Directors and to Fellows.

The fee for this year is:
US$100.00 per participant taking the examination

The following points characterize the exam:

  • Flexibility in Administration: The examination may be administered anytime between May 3 and May 14, 2010. Completion time for the entire examination is 1.5 hours.
  • Performance Reports: Computer-generated individual score reports and percentile rankings will be provided to the fellows and Program Directors. Exam results will be returned approximately June 11, 2010 via electronic mail.

The registration deadline for this year is April 9, 2010.
