You’ll master important laboratory quality practices and gain the answers to:

• How do I decide whether to accept or reject my daily results?

The quality and reliability of laboratory tests require proper evaluation, validation, and continuous performance monitoring. The process begins with knowledge and understanding of the requirements of applicable regulatory organizations and ends with clinicians’ acceptance of your laboratory results for their patients. In this workshop, you will explore the process of providing dependable results by reviewing CLIA, NCCLS, and JCAHO requirements, discussing each validation and quality control procedure, interpreting results derived from selected computations, and deciding on appropriate activities necessary to generate reliable laboratory results.
