Do you need to update your skills and problem-solving abilities in the chemistry laboratory? Are you involved in cross training in chemistry as a teacher or a learner? Then this is the workshop for you!
You'll participate in a thorough discussion of the practical and clinical issues relevant to testing in today's automated chemistry lab, including pertinent information on the newer assays and methodologies available for more rapid and accurate diagnoses of various disorders, with focus on carbohydrates, renal function, electrolytes, proteins, and liver function.
Case studies will complement the information presented and challenge your knowledge.
Following this workshop, you will be able to:
- Correlate clinical and laboratory data with frequently encountered disease states.
- Describe newer assays and methodologies available to the routine chemistry laboratory.
- Discuss methods that can result in a more accurate, cost-effective diagnosis.
