Description: A major impediment to the evolution of clinical and anatomic laboratories in resource-limited countries is absence of infrastructure, including the dearth of operational laboratory information systems. ASCP-member laboratorians now donate considerable time to assisting colleagues in resource-limited countries. This session will consider the challenges of operating a quality laboratory in the face of infrastructure deficiencies.
