ASCP Board of Registry (BOR) Board of Governors

The ASCP Board of Registry develops, establishes and maintains standards and procedures for individuals to enter, continue and/or advance in a career in medical laboratory science, and then certifies those individuals who meet the required criteria. The ASCP Board of Registry maintains a roster of certificants. The certification functions of the ASCP Board of Registry is governed by a Board of Governors.

The Board of Governors shall be composed of the following:

  • Five Fellows of the American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • Five Laboratory Professional Members of the American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • A representative from each organization of laboratory specialists for which  the ASCP Board of Registry provides certification
  • Two public representatives
