Laboratory professionals around the world are familiar with Mr. Glenn’s name and face, because he is also a well-known motivational speaker and a prolific writer. His goal in speaking and writing is to empower laboratorians to be true professionals.

Mr. Glenn has been active with the ASCP for many years and is proud to say he helped initiate the ASCP’s name change in 2001 so it recognized the entire laboratory team. His long list of past positions and activities within ASCP include chair of the ASCP Associate Member Section (AMS), 2000-2001; AMS Administrative Board member-at-large; chair of the AMS Plan and Scope Committee; as well as numerous other AMS ASCP committees, workgroups and task forces. In addition, Mr. Glenn represented the ASCP-AMS on the Health Professions Network (HPN) and the Coordinating Council on the Clinical Laboratory Workforce (CCCLW). He received the ASCP-AMS Excellence in Management Award in 2003.

He now serves the ASCP on the Instructional Technology Committee, Commission on Membership, and as Chair of the Communications Committee. Mr. Glenn also is an ASCP media spokesperson.
