Lynnette Chakkaphak, MS, MT(ASCP), received her bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Mass., and completed her training at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Mass.. After working for many years in the fields of immunology and microbiology, she continued her education at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla., where she was awarded a graduate council fellowship and earned her master’s degree in microbiology.

Ms. Chakkaphak’s experience includes more than 30 years in medical laboratory management and education. Currently, she is employed by St. Vincent’s Health System in Jacksonville, Fla., as the System Laboratory Director. In addition to overseeing three hospital laboratories, Ms. Chakkaphak serves as Director of Consolidated Laboratory Services, a large outreach laboratory business.

Recognized in 2003 with an ASCP Regional Associate Member Award, Ms. Chakkaphak has been involved in ASCP volunteer activities since 1999. Over the years, she has served in several capacities, including as member of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Commission on Membership, Chair of the Council of Laboratory Professionals, Chair of the ASCP Scholarship Committee, and member of the Task Force on Connectivity.
